The first Advocacy Coalition for human rights-based civil society organizations.
We are happy to share that an Advocacy Coalition of local civil society organizations was established with EHRDC as the host organization. The coalition consists of human rights based civil society organizations and is supported by Freedom House and USAID for its monthly and quarterly engagements.
After numerous conversations with partner organizations the AC had its kickoff meeting on September 25, 2024, and its first quarterly learning session on October 24 and 25, 2024.
On the agenda for the AC’s next activities is
– An advocacy assessment to identify areas for growth of member civil society organizations
– Defining thematic focuses to guide future advocacy engagements.
– Membership guidelines to keep the coalition dynamic and impactful.
Together, we’re creating a resilient and strategic advocacy platform for impactful change! Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming co-creation meeting this October.
